People create landscapes, take photos of nature. But what if trees, rivers and plants can become more involved in creating the final portrait of themselves?
Nature took part in creating these works. It is also an effect and a model, a print and a chemical part. Nature can create and destroy, it has amazing colours and it can erase colours. It can also heal itself and heal people who observe it, who collaborate with it.
With the help of experimental techniques, I involve nature in co-creation. I soaked rolls of films into waters of rivers, swamps, lakes, quarries and sea in different places in Ukraine, Germany and France. I added leaves, twigs, sand into waters. I shot these films at the same areas from where waters were. I left several printed works in the soil and swamps in the area where I photographed them, and a few months later I scanned the result. Nature left unique print that will never be the same again.
This project is about experimentation and collaboration. But it is also a project about how the process of interaction allows you to keep going. How the process of art and creating a project with nature gives you the strength to deal with reality.
